1. Who we are
AsMaya Rise FZE LLC (in Arabic: أسميا رايز ش.ذ.م.م), a company licensed in the Ajman Free Zone, United Arab Emirates (“AsMaya Rise”, “we”, “us”), is the controller of the personal data collected through this website, including its gum arabic trading section (/gum/). Contact: info@asmayarise.ae (general inquiries), sales@asmayarise.ae (sales), support@asmayarise.ae (client support), marketing@asmayarise.ae (marketing).
2. Legal framework
We process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”) and other applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates.
3. What we collect
3.1 Data you submit through our request forms: full name; company name; business email address; telephone number (optional); the selected business line or industry; required volume; the content of your message; files you choose to attach (PDF/XLSX), which may themselves contain personal data; the interface language; a request reference number; and a record of your consent (date, time and version of the consent text).
3.2 Technical data: our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as IP address, browser type and request time in server logs, for the purposes of delivering the website, security and abuse prevention.
3.3 Cookies and similar technologies: this website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies and does not load third-party scripts or fonts. When you move from the main page to the gum arabic section, a temporary value (your scroll position and language) is stored in your browser’s session storage so that the “Back” button can return you to the same place; it never leaves your device and is erased when you close the tab.
4. Why we use it and on what basis
- To review and answer your request, prepare commercial proposals and conduct pre-contractual communication — based on your consent and on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam or abuse — as necessary for the operation and protection of the service.
- To comply with legal obligations, such as record keeping and lawful requests from competent authorities.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing communications without your separate consent.
5. Retention
Request data is kept for up to 24 months after our last communication with you, unless a contractual relationship follows, in which case it is retained for the period required by applicable UAE law. The data is then deleted or anonymised.
6. Who receives your data
We do not sell or rent personal data. Data is shared only with: (a) service providers acting on our instructions — our website hosting and corporate email provider in the United Arab Emirates (Tasjeel); (b) professional advisers bound by confidentiality; (c) competent authorities where required by law.
7. Transfers outside the UAE
The website, submitted requests and attached files are hosted, and our corporate email is provided, in the United Arab Emirates. We do not intentionally transfer your personal data outside the UAE. If a transfer becomes necessary (for example, when you correspond with us from abroad or we engage a provider abroad), it will be carried out only in the cases permitted by the PDPL, including on the basis of your express consent or appropriate contractual safeguards.
8. Security
The website is served exclusively over encrypted HTTPS with strict security headers. Submitted requests and attached files are stored on our hosting server outside the publicly accessible web directory; files are checked for type and size, and anti-spam and rate-limiting controls are applied. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Where required by law, we will notify the UAE Data Office and affected individuals of a personal data breach.
9. Your rights
Subject to the PDPL, you may: obtain information about and access to your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure; request restriction of processing; object to processing; receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format; withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal; and not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing. To exercise these rights, write to info@asmayarise.ae. We will respond within the time limits set by law. You may also lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.
10. Minors
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The current version is always published on this page with its date of last update.
12. Language
This Policy is published in English and Arabic. In case of any discrepancy between the two texts, the Arabic text prevails.
